The 1909-11 Colgan’s Chips “Stars of the Diamond” (E254) Baseball set is one of the early uniquely designed issuances presented as round 1-7/16” diameter discs that were distributed over a three-year period in five-cent Colgan’s Mint and Violet Chips gum tins. The backs display Colgan’s tagline “The Gum That’s Round” and features the headline “Stars of the Diamond” arced across the top.
